Judith Potts is seventy-seven, happily eccentric, and perfectly content with her whiskey, her crossword puzzles, and her crumbling mansion on the Thames. That is, until she hears a gunshot while her neighbor is swimming—and no one believes her.
Determined to prove a murder has taken place, Judith launches her own investigation. Along the way, she recruits two unlikely partners: Suzie, a no-nonsense dog walker, and Becks, the vicar’s wife. Together, they form the Marlow Murder Club, an amateur sleuthing trio with more grit and charm than the local police.
But when another body turns up, the stakes rise sharply. What began as Judith’s puzzle-solving hobby now looks like a serial killer’s game.
