The Dance of the Dolls

The Dance of the Dolls

Lucy Ashe
Thriller

At the recently opened Sadler’s Wells Theatre in 1930s London, identical twin ballerinas Olivia and Clara rehearse for the ballet Coppélia, a tale of obsession and illusion. But as their lives entwine with the story, fiction begins to blur with reality, and danger lurks in the shadows.

Olivia, the picture-perfect ballerina, unknowingly casts a spell on Samuel, a shy apprentice shoemaker who sneaks into the theatre to watch her dance. Meanwhile, rebellious Clara has been drawn into a passionate yet unsettling relationship with Nathan, a pianist whose grip on reality is slipping.

As rehearsals intensify, the sisters are pulled into a dark, sinister web where ambition, obsession, and fantasy collide. Will they escape the spell of Coppélia, or will the dance consume them?
