Solma has finally been promoted. Sergeant. At last, she might receive enough rations to feed her family and keep her beloved little brother safe. In a world ravaged by extinction and climate change, food is scarce and crops fail. All Solma wants is to keep her brother away from harm.
Then they find something. Something impossible.
When a should-be-extinct bee crawls from the ravaged earth, Solma knows this could be the miracle her world needs to recover, but it could also lead to war. Things go from bad to worse when Solma’s brother develops a strange bond with the little insect. Now, Solma and her brother are in terrible danger, because not everyone wants to see the bees return.
