Three strangers are drawn together by a mysterious event over Edinburgh. Lennox, a troubled teenager, Ava, a pregnant woman fleeing an abusive marriage, and Heather, a grieving mother battling cancer, all suffer sudden strokes as a meteor streaks across the sky. Yet, they awaken the next day, miraculously recovered.
When an alien creature washes up on the shore near where the meteor fell, Lennox suspects a connection. Alongside Ava, Heather, and journalist Ewan, he rescues the being they name “Sandy” and goes on the run. But they’re not the only ones interested—Ava’s husband, the police, and a secretive government unit are closing in fast.
