Thin Air

Thin Air

Michelle Paver
Psychological Horror

In 1935, five Englishmen begin their ascent of Kangchenjunga, the Himalayas’ most sacred and most lethal peak. What starts as a feat of endurance quickly turns into something far more unsettling.

Among the party is Stephen, a medic and reluctant climber, shadowed by his brother’s mountaineering legacy and a nagging sense that the mountain is hiding something. Altitude sickness isn’t the only thing clouding their minds. Strange footprints appear in the snow. Whispers carry on the wind. And not everyone believes what they’re seeing is real.

As the air thins, so does the line between hallucination and haunting. Something old waits on the slopes—something vengeful. And if Stephen can’t make peace with the past, none of them will make it back down alive.
